Stolen Destiny Through Fear

Missing out on great things in life because of fear?

Fear means to run from, and to take flight.  The Promises of God is to enjoy life.  So many people miss out on their destiny because of fear.  Satan is always going to try to keep you from progress, promotion, and you stepping in to that WIDE door of opportunity.  I know you have a situation in mind whether it be, a job opportunity, a new business or joining a church group.  You may be thinking “I don’t know what is going to happen.” ” What if I fail” “I don’t think I can do this.”  THAT IS FEAR.

Sometimes you will walk through doors that teach you something, you may not become the best at it and you may be led to do something different, but the key thing to remember is that you are not failing, you are learning.

Through God I have done things I never thought I would do.  I was the queen of fear and doubting myself before surrendering to Christ.  God has taken me out of that and changed me, yes people change.  Accepting Christ in our hearts does this.  We become a new creature in him.  I learned who I was through him, and to FEAR NOT.  We will always experience some type of fear but its up to us to step out of the boat even when we fear, its the ACT of faith that can overcome.

Faith is not what we see and what we feel, it is what is inside of our heart that says “God is good, God keeps his word, and I don’t care what it is but God will help me overcome and provide what I need.”  Without faith we can not walk in God’s good plan for our lives.  We must travel in the direction where our fears lie, overcoming them and reaching our destiny.

“And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.”   Genesis 9:2

Battling Fear

Again I have mentioned the spiritual battle that believers are constantly in and, fear is a big one.  There are 365 “Fear not” scriptures in the bible.  God knows that we have feelings of fear and anxiety throughout life. He wants us to walk with our head up, not looking down.  He wants us active and shaking the Devil up everyday.  Sometimes during temptation we can feel both conviction and fear,  the Holy Spirit will be saying “This is wrong.” meanwhile the fear tactic of the Devil will put thoughts like this “If I don’t will they like me?” this is why it is important to know about spiritual battles. The moment you hear in your mind a negative thought and the feeling of fear say out loud “God is working in my life.”  Whatever it is you are feeling fear about we must let it go and walk in faith.

Good resource book for spiritual battles: The Battlefield of The Mind by Joyce Meyers.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”  Isaiah 41:10

Is It Fear Or The Holy Spirit

Fear and being led by the Holy Spirit are two separate things,  Fear is not of God.  It is a different feeling.  Fear leads to feelings of anxiety, negative thoughts, laziness, and anger.  The Holy Spirit guides you like Jiminy Cricket from Pinocchio, its a small voice in your head, that speaks with a sound mind.  You will have a peaceful rest in these thoughts.  If it is not Gods will, he will shut the door.  You will not know what God’s will is without going through doors of opportunity.  If the door shuts you move on, a shutting door is just simply God saying “My child not yet.”, “This will not make you happy.” or “My will is far greater.”  You will be amazed at the plans he has in store for your life.

God’s Plan In Action

Lee Strobel was an atheist journalist that turned to Christ, through a two year investigation on whether or not Christianity was true, he wrote books and there is a movie based on his story called “A Case for Christ”. Lee was not walking with God, he didn’t believe that It really happened.  His destiny changed when he walked through that door of opportunity.  God’s will is ultimately what is best for our lives, he wants the best for you and he knows what is in your heart.  Fear not God IS working in your life.

Hope you walk in faith today, and make that step through the open door.

With Love,
