5 Great Books to Gift a New Christian and My Favorite Bible App!

We all have that friend or family member who has just received Christ and are at the very start of their walk with God.  Our walks with God at the beginning is very wonderful and amazing, ALTHOUGH that is when the battle starts.

The enemy wants nothing but for them to change their minds and think about negative things to deter them from the Lord.  I have this little list of books that I have read that helped me in the beginning of my walk.  I also am going to mention one app.  I LOVE this app, it is called the Holy Bible app.

This app allows you to highlight, book mark and share scripture.  It also has devotional plans FOR FREE!!!  SCORE!  Also you can add your friends in your church, or include your bible study group in a devotional and follow along together in the week. You can also just choose to just read the bible as well.

Here is what it looks like !

Here is a list of great reads for the beginning walk.

  1. BIBLE

This is the first and MOST important book.  Every person walking with God should have one of these!  John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  This book has anointing and cannot be replaced by any devotional or book.  This book has been passed down from generations to generations.  Here are a few good other reads.

  2. Battlefield of The Mind by Joyce Meyer

  3. The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren

  4. The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson

  5. More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell

These books are not outrageously expensive they are a fairly good price and can be found online or in most Christian book stores.

Thanks for reading!
